Rates & Regulations
Listed on this page are HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative's rates, regulations and tariffs. Documents are available to download in PDF format.
HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative is a member-owned, member-regulated electric utility, which makes us a little different. By member-regulated, we mean that policy and rates are set by the Board of Directors, who are elected by their neighbors to serve in this capacity.
Decisions like these are made at special open member meetings. When a meeting is set, we'll post the date, time, and location here and at our offices, as well as in Country Lines magazine. Any actions taken or decisions made at the meeting will be published in the same places.
NOTICE OF SURCHARGE
The board of directors voted to opt out of the optional Michigan Low Income Energy Assistance Fund (LIEAF), which was discussed at the June 26, 2017, special open member meeting. However, new information was received from the state and in a special conference call on June 29, the board of directors voted to opt-in for the 2017-2018 heating season. This surcharge, which is a direct pass-through to the State of Michigan, will be 93 cents per meter per month. It will be applied to all bills starting in September 2017 and continue through August 2018.
